HISTORY
Jiffy Photo Center and Framed
JIFFY PHOTO CENTER
Jiffy Photo Center was one of the oldest photography stores in the state of Florida before its owners Mike and Janie Hinkle retired in 2020. It was originally founded in the 1950s by Joe Corso, who opened one of the first black and white photo labs in the state. It was purchased in 1977 by Kralhinkle Photography Group, Incorporated.
JIFFY ADDS CUSTOM FRAMING
Over time the store evolved from black and white to color photofinishing, and then into digital sales and services. In 2004, they added Jiffy Photo's Custom Frame Shop and a full digital photo lab.
JIFFY CLOSES
After 48 years of running the business, Mike and Janie Hinkle decided to retire. Their daughter, Megan, wanted to keep the framing business going, as well as continue to provide some of the same services that Jiffy always has, and Framed was born.
FRAMED
Megan Hinkle opened Framed in 2022 across the street from Jiffy Photo Center's location, and provides custom framing, photo printing, editing and restoration, video transfers, and has art on display and for purchase from local artists.
